Naivasha demonstration center was started in January 2013 after successful market scan which established great deficiency of skills among employees in the hospitality and floriculture, the two main economic activities of the area. By then, there was huge demand of workers in these industries but the employers reported that the young people who complete secondary school and seek employment lacked the basic skills to do the job. CAP YEI established its center at the Maryland Complex where the main office and two classrooms are situated. The students have the opportunity to train theoretically and practically when they visit the real places of work; flower farms hotel and resorts.
