In a series of bootcamps held in Kwale, Diani, Kajiado and Namanga, CAP YEI partnered with KCB Foundation to host a series of sessions to build the capacities of MSMES in these regions in business development, financial literacy, business marketing among other important business aspects such as saving and loans, and business partnerships.
These sessions were conducted by seasoned ILO-SIYB trainers, who engaged the MSMSE’s in simulation exercises, and teaching games that spark conversations and build discussions around MSME development. These games offered real-life scenarios that the participants relate with thus opening them to deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities they have at hand while running their businesses.
The dynamic engagement used by the ILO- SIYB trainers also involves hands-on approaches and content that made it easier for the MSMEs to share their specific stories of success and areas that need support and improvement. The trainers delivered content backed with global standards of entrepreneurship development.
