Brian Mureithi Maina

My name is Brian Mureithi Maina. I was born in the year 1999 in Nakuru County. I finished high school in the year 2016 after which I went for computer classes. I heard about CAPYEI from social media(Facebook page). In Entrepreneurship, I learned about saving hence knows how to manage my money. I learned also how to start and manage a business. I took a course in hospitality. After completion of the training, I decided to start a business.

I started the business with Ksh.5000, I used the money to register the business and buy few some assets with some donations from my friends and relatives. I deal with different items within my business including event organizing, outside, entertainment, road shows, marketing and wedding planning. Meeting different clients with different needs and preferences increased my creativity and expanded the Business. My business is expanding daily. I am aiming at creating and growing my business to reach many parts of the country.

I make a profit of up to Ksh. 50,000 per month. My focus is to grow my business and reach out to other towns in the country so that I can employ other young people in this industry as the demand grows. My greatest strengths are on my client satisfaction, my professionality and the uniqueness of my business.

CAP Youth Empowerment Institute and MasterCard Foundation have transformed my life and also opened my mind. Now I have something to call my own and it is showing much progress.
