MOSES KOI CHANZERA
MOSES KOI CHANZERA
My name is Moses Koi. I am 24 years old. I come from a family of 3 being the 2nd born. I com-
pleted my KCSE in 2012 at Lukosi Primary school as well as my KCSE Golini secondary school. Due to lack of money, I was forced to work at Shaka-hola Primary School as an untrained teacher, I heard of EU-GIZ “Youth Empowerment and
Employment Project in Kenya” through the Youth Leader Malindi. My father was supportive and my mother thought it is a good idea to gain employable skills. On 4th December 2017 I joined Muyeye Center
TRAINING EXPERIENCE
I studied Automobile course in addition to entrepreneurship training and computer studies. I had a lot of interest in a motorcycle in which my Facilitator helped me to develop my interest and grew the interest of riding a motorcycle and earning wages for myself. The EU-GIZ “Youth Empowerment and Employment Project in Kenya” training is
all round whereby it gave me an opportunity to work in garages part-time. We had some challenges in adapting to the program. My dream is true and I am now able to earn for myself and run my business. And do general services and repair to motorcycles Looking forward to purchasing my own motorcycle
CAREER
Currently, I am self-employed as a motorcycle rider and working partly for a garage at Mwala GarageI earn 9,000/= per month. The main challenge is to keep up with bookkeeping but with the help of skills earned in entrepreneurship classes I am sure I will be able to stabilize
Thanks to the EU-GIZ “Youth Empowerment and Employment Project in Kenya” by initiating this program of empowering the youth and I pray that with the same spirit they reach other youths who are not capable of helping themselves.
MY OUTLOOK
My plan is to purchase 2 motorcycles and also employ my fellow youths from my area at Msabaha
